Dawdling players in for a treat!
Arkane Studios co-creative directors Harvey Smith and Raphael Colantonio dropped some game-length related bombs on the Bethesda Blog recently.

Apparently their upcoming Dishonored is no paltry four-hour offering. No no! Expect it to last 12-14 hours for “very direct players”.

"Play-style matters a lot... Very direct players will probably get through the game in 12 or 14 hours. Explorers who eavesdrop a lot will take twice as long."

Elsewhere the pair elaborated on the in-game powers, explaining Dishonored features six major abilities and four passive enhancements alongside an arsenal of weapons, gadgets and 40 bone charms, which grant small supernatural perks.... ladies....

"But no one can have all of these things in one playthrough[!]"

With regards to Mana,

"A small portion of the mana bar regens; just enough to use powers like Blink and Dark Vision, making them basically free," the pair wrote. "Beyond that, for the expensive powers like Possession or Bend Time, the player must rely on Piero's Spiritual Remedy (mana potions)."

Spiritual Remedy’s, plague rats and arrow wielding Tall Boys will rock store shelves alongside Dishonored on October 12th.
