Final Fantasy VII PC releases today through Square-Enix online store
It's time to dust off the hair gel and cannon-arm attachments because Final Fantasy 7 has launched for PC on the official Square-Enix online store.
Considered by many to be one of, if not the greatest game of all time, Final Fantasy VII has long been mooted for a modern HD remake. However, fans will have to make do with the original PC version which is known to suffer from some sound issues, issues which haven't been fixed.

Square-Enix have done some slight tinkering under the bonnet, though. The game now contains 36 different achievements, cloud saving, as well as a controversial character boosting facility, which essentially allows you to boost your HP, MP and Gil levels to maximum to help you get past any sticky situations.

The game is available across all regions now on the Square-Enix official website and there's no word whether it will be coming to other platforms like Steam, XBLA or PSN as of yet. So if you haven't checked in with Cloud, Barret, Tifa and the gang in a while, then now's the perfect time!
