Advertising agency BBR Saatchi & Saatchi
is looking for a programmer and has decided on an unorthodox method to find the right person for the job. Every Wednesday, Diablo III players will be invited to play alongside CEO Yossi Lubaton
for 30-minutes to show off their skills while answering interview questions. A select handful will then be invited for a more traditional interview at the Saatchi & Saatchi office. In the end, one will walk away with a new Warmonger Sword, one million coins and an employee badge.
If you think you have what it takes, there will be three more play sessions over the course of July. They take place each Wednesday at 18:00 GMT. You can apply for consideration by searching for Yossilubaton#2572
in Diablo III or contact the team via the Hell of a Job page
. Who said that playing games would never get you a job? Although you should be warned that you will be expected to be able to socialise, work as part of a team and actually have programming skills to boot. Still, it's interesting to see that companies are looking at video game worlds as a method of judging a person's application.
