Manage your Xbox profile on Android and iOS
Get social on the go.
Android users can finally manage their Xbox profile on the go with the release of the free My Xbox Live app. This app allows users to read and send messages to friends; manage friends lists and invite new friends; read and edit your full LIVE profile (name, bio, motto); change your avatar features and items with the avatar closet; and view and compare your achievement progress with friends.

In addition, changes have been announced for both the iPhone and iPad versions of the app. The iOS updates will allow users to discover new content, and connect to and control content on your Xbox 360. Microsoft has also stated that the iPad app adds retina display support, and improved authentication “making connecting your iPad with your Xbox LIVE account easier than ever.”

The blog post from Major Nelson does note that this is not Xbox SmartGlass, which was announced at E3 last week. This is the first release for Android devices and simply an update for iOS devices. While Microsoft does intend to bring Xbox SmartGlass to several platforms, no details are being announced just yet.
