GTA Online launches on October 1st. And with it, the option to exchange real world currency for that in game green!
Reddit originally noticed shark themed cash cards via XML file. This file is open to the public on Rockstar’s website! And though the real world value of the following cards is not yet stated, it can be expected the exchange ratio won’t quite be 1:1... Maths Joke!
The Red Shark Cash Card = $100,000
The Tiger Shark Cash Card = $200,000
The Bull Shark Cash Card = $500,000
The Great White Shark Cash Card = $1,250,000
The following tagline can be found beneath each cash card,
“Cash is king in this town. Solve your money problems and help get what you want across Los Santos and Blaine County with the purchase of cash packs for Grand Theft Auto Online. All purchased cash is automatically deposited into your character’s bank account. Spend wisely, cash therapy is fleeting.”
We previously tackled the issues of Microtransactions head on.
But we’d like to hear your slant on it: Are these harmless additions or do they cheapen the gaming experience? Will they artificially(or otherwise)devalue in game methods of acquiring cash? Or are they simply a shortcut for gamers with too much cash and too little time?
