Google Netbook is suitably starkers
Leave it to Google to release a Netbook that’s actually slim, vacant and devoid of unnecessary tampering, branding or design flaws.

The notion behind the Netbook is that of a small yet relatively high-end machine, minus any surplus frills or nonsense: A blank canvas from which the user can operate and individualize.
Minimalistic, removing unnecessary keys, functions and ports mercilessly, it’s quite obviously a Google product, not trying to sell additional parts or software, ensuring instead that your attentions are focused on the internet itself, and by extension, Google’s ads.

Sadly the Chrome CR 48 Netbook may remain prototypical, never quite making it into mass production. However, considering its success with the Nexus Smartphone, and the fact that it is, after all, Google, don’t be surprised to see some refreshingly naked Netbooks in the near future.
