Grand Theft Auto Online’s multiplayer announcement video has just gone live. It showcases some of the characters of the world, the environments that you’ll get to run amuck in with your friends, and some of the activities that you’ll get to try out. Like Max Payne 3, Grand Theft Auto V will feature the Crew system and will allow players to commit bank heists or take part in more traditional multiplayer modes.Rockstar will be keeping Grand Theft Auto Online updated with new content, but users will also be able to put together their own races and content.

It is worth noting that Grand Theft Auto Online will go live two weeks after Grand Theft Auto V is released. It will be free for anyone who purchases Grand Theft Auto V, but it's more than just a multiplayer mode; it's a persistent online world for 16 active players with all of the single-player features and more. We're looking forward to finding out more about this element, but first there's an entire single player campaign to explore.
