Signed Portal gun up for auction

Signed Portal gun up for auction
Some day it won't just be a replica for sale.
Ever wondered how much a Portal gun would set you back? Well, the current bid for a replica Portal gun signed by the team at Valve is $630 after 40 bids. The auction is being run by Games Art And Music (GAAM), an organisation set up to widen the acceptance of gaming culture, with all proceeds going to the Child’s Play charity.

Valve donated the replica gun, which is in great condition even though “the box is banged up.” The life size replica of the Handheld Portal Device allows you to set the type of portal you’d like to fire, plays the sound, and lights the blue or orange LED. Unfortunately running at the wall will only result in pain and embarrassment rather than quick transportation across space.

The auction ends on December 28th at 10:37 PST (18:37 GMT) with the full selling amount benefitting Child’s Play Charity. Sadly, shipping for this particular item is restricted to the United States. It could be interesting to see how much the signatures of Valve go for; this team, or their grandchildren, will be responsible for the release of Half-Life 3 after all.
