Will it be expendable?
The Expendables 2 will explode to life on cinema screens later this year and there will be a game to get you in the mood. Ubisoft will be releasing a videogame tie-in via the PlayStation Network, Xbox Live Arcade and digitally on PC. This game should tie-in nicely with the film as players will take the mercenaries right up to the moment where the second film kicks off.

Players will be able to take control of four of the world’s most intimidating mercenaries: Barney Ross, Gunner Jensen, Hale Caesar and Yin Yang. The Expendables 2 Videogame will allow for up to four player cooperative play locally or online. The game appears to take a mixture of approaches with certain segments being played in third-person, others are top down, while other set pieces are side-scroller segments. The story sees the mercenaries attempting to rescue a high-profile billionaire, who has been kidnapped. Of course all hell breaks loose and bullets, bombs and bodies go flying.

Ubisoft hasn’t stated a release date, so we’ll have to assume that it will come out in close proximity to the movie, which will be released on August 17th.
