The Last of Us: The Infected
NOT Zombies!
In the first episode of a five part behind the scenes look at Naughty Dog’s creative process, the focus sits squarely on the title’s distinctive plant-monster-people-hybrid-beatie-things!

TLOU’s extinction event takes the unique form of a cordyceps fungus which burrows into human brains and converts most of the planet’s population into ‘The Infected.’
Original name? No. Original design? Different story...

Naughty Dog’s Philip Kovats (Audio Lead), Neil Druckmann (Creative Director), Bruce Straley (Game Director), Michael Knowland (Lead Character Artist), Mark Botta (Programmer) and Travis Mcintosh (Lead programmer) elaborate how the Infected navigate, the impact of this innocent sounding echolocation upon frightened survivors and how fungal pores need to be destroyed on sight.

The Last of Uswas recently delayed until June 14th, yet God of War: Ascension purchasers will receive access to an early level demo.
