Unlock an exclusive demo for The Last of Us
With retail copies of God of War: Ascension
If you were looking for any more incentive to pick up God of War: Ascension – you’ve got it!

Sony as just announced that the latest title in the blockbusting God of War saga will not only feature more bone crunching chaos with our favourite disgruntled demi-god but that shiny blu-ray disk will also enable access to a demo for The Last of Us.

An all new IP from Uncharted creators Naughty Dog, The Last of Us is a third person action-adventure title set in a post apocalyptic world. As lead character Joel, players will be tasked with surviving in a bleak and unforgiving America, ravaged by a virus which turns people into mindless killing machines.

While Ascension bows in March, the only details we have are that information on the demo for The Last of Us will appear in the game menu. There’s no release date just yet, with an announcement to come directly from Naughty Dog on the PlayStation Blog in the coming weeks. Doubtless the demo will eventually be unlocked for all but if you’re desperate to guide Joel and Ellie through a ravaged urban wilderness, you’ll want to be first in line.

God of War: Ascension is a prequel to the existing God of War trilogy and sees Kratos trying to deal with the death of his family by his own hand as he tries to break free from the grip of Ares. The developers have promised more backstory on the character and a more human side. Hopefully that doesn’t get in the way of all the killing.

God of War: Ascension comes exclusively to PS3 from March 12th with The Last of Us also debuting on the system on the 7th of May 2013.
