Brian McFadden to miss end of 'life
No plans to join band at Croker

Its a wonderful gesture from the SECC

Singer Brian McFadden is not expected to reunite with his former Westlife bandmates this weekend at their Croke Park gigs, despite rumours.

A band spokeswoman said she was “not aware” of any plans for Brian to return from Australia to join them on stage.

There had been web rumours that Brian (32) would join his ex-bandmates on the final night of their farewell world tour.

Brian walked away from the band in 2004 to go solo.

Meanwhile, one of Scotland’s most famous venues has paid a tongue-in-cheek tribute to Westlife as they played there for the last time.

Glasgow’s SECC unveiled four bar stools engraved with the names of Shane Filan (32), Mark Feehily (32), Kian Egan (32) and Nicky Byrne (33) ahead of their final concert there. The band said: “It’s a wonderful gesture from the SECC.”
