Daniel O'Donnell's wife offers hope for depression sufferers

The wife of singer Daniel O’Donnell is to talk about living with depression as part of an event organised by a suicide prevention group.

Majella O’Donnell revealed last year that she has suffered from depression for much of her adult life — and had contemplated suicide in the past.

The 51-year old mum-of-two will take part in Feelgood Fortnight — a two-week event promoting positivity and community spirit in Buncrana, Co Donegal, starting this Saturday.

She will be guest speaker at a seminar called Take Charge of Your Life — An Afternoon to Get You Thinking. The talk is at the Inishowen Gateway Hotel on August 2 from 2.30pm to 5pm. Tickets are €10.
