Newly-wed Darren Clarke (43) last night has told how he feels "very lucky" to have found his bride - who helped him get his life back on track.
And he thanked all his fans for their well-wishes following his marriage to former model Alison Campbell (49).
The British Open champ tied the knot with the blonde beauty at an intimate beach wedding in the Bahamas on Wednesday.
Tweeting from the paradise island loved-up Darren said: "Thanks for all your congrats tweets!..we had a fantastic day...I'm very lucky to have found Alison!! :-)."
Clarke has previously credited his partner with putting his life "back on track" following the death of his first wife Heather from breast cancer in 2006.
The Dungannon golfer made the announcement on his website and described the romantic moment in the resort of Abaco as a "pretty stunning occasion".
Former U.S. Open champion Graeme McDowell, who played cupid by first introducing the happy couple, was also present with his stunning girlfriend Kristen Stape.
Former Miss Northern Ireland Alison, who runs her own model agency, looked stunning in an understated knee-length strapless dress with bouquet of white roses.
The smitten pair were married under a white arch on a sandy beach before friends and family including Darren's two sons Tyrone and Conor, both sets of parents, his sister Andrea with her husband Davy and their two boys.
According to his manager Chubby Chandler, Guinness-guzzling Clarke reached for a cocktail rather than the black stuff to toast his new bride.
When asked by a pal was there any Guinness at the wedding reception, Chubby revealed it: "doesn't travel".
Clarke is a regular visitor to the Carribbean Island having bought a home in Abaco and loves to spend time relaxing with his family and indulge in his love of fly-fishing.
After the vows, trigger happy Chubby tweeted a photograph of the happy couple and later tweeted a photograph of their low-key wedding reception.
"The reception with a steel band .......Very chilled," posted Chubby.
Their short honeymoon will be spent in Abaco before Clarke heads off to Korea to play in the Ballantine's Championship next week whilst Alison returns to the helm of her Belfast based business.
Romantic Darren Clarke sailed off into the sunset yesterday with his new bride in this multi-million euro yacht.
The nuptials enjoyed day one of their honeymoon cruising the Carribbean waves in a plush Sunseeker Predator 108.
If you fancy splashing out in of these sea monsters, they can set you back anywhere from between €7 and €8m.
An exhilarated Darren couldn't wait to tell his fans about his big toy. "We are all on a Sunseeker Predator 108....what a beautiful, stunning yacht!!! Big thanks to Sunseeker and Neil Hughes! #bigboystoys " he posted yesterday.
