Pop twins Jedward
would love to work with The Dubliners
— to give them a traditional twist.
The 20-year-old pair reckon a tin whistle would sound good on one of their tracks.
The twins said: “At the moment everyone is looking for the next beat, the next new thing.
“Everyone is using guitar or piano. We could start using a tin whistle or, like, a violin."
They added: “I think we should do a collaboration with that group The Dubliners. They are, like, crazy. They always have crazy music. That would be really cool.”
The zany pair launched their Irish summer tour this week in Killarney. They were based in the swanky Four Seasons Hotel in Dublin for weeks before that.
In an online chat with excited fans, Jedward also revealed they splashed out €3,200 on jackets. John said: “You guys know the silver jackets that me and Edward have? The crazy ones we wore at premieres and shows.
“The girl in the shop said Rihanna bought stuff there, so we had to buy them,” he explained. John said the $2000 (€1,6160) price tag per jacket was “crazy” and they are the most expensive clothes Jedward owns.
“But we got a lot of use out of them,” he added. “It was totally insane and we never want to spend that much on a jacket ever again." The twins’ webchat included fans from as far off as Pakistan.
