Hollywood star and human rights activist George Clooney
has called for action to stop ongoing violence in Sudan.
He spoke to the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee after a secret visit to the region last week, and he warned of a growing humanitarian crisis there.
The Descendants star Clooney (50) said: “It is absolutely without question a war crime that we saw first hand.” Clooney sneaked into Sudan with a camera crew to film the catastrophe — which included footage of a boy who had lost his hands. He called on the US to boost efforts to improve the situation in Sudan.
