Pop sensations Jedward
have denied that they are set to star in the new series of hit TV talent show Dancing on Ice
Jedward’s manager Louis Walsh insisted the 20-year-old twins are not signed up to the show and are still weighing up a number of TV offers.
Louis (59) said: “It’s one of a number of TV projects that we’ve looked at but we definitely haven’t signed to the show.
“Jedward get a lot of offers and it’s just one of several that have to be looked at.
“They’re weighing up their options and looking at their schedules and Dancing on Ice is not on the cards yet.’’
If the Dubliners do enter, it would be their third reality show after finding X Factor fame in 2009 and joining Celebrity Big Brother last year. However, John and Edward would be competing against each other for the first time as ITV bosses want them as separate participants.
The twins have a good record in public votes — finishing 6th on X Factor and 3rd on Celebrity Big Brother. They finished in 19th place in the Eurovision this year after the combined jury and televote but it later emerged that they were a respectable 10th in the audience vote.
ITV were also rumoured to have tried to sign the twins for I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here last year.
