former home has sold for just over half the €2.8 million price he paid for it in 2001.
The Boyzone star forked out €2.8 million for the house in Abington in Malahide 11 years ago.
However, it’s believed the six-bedroom mansion has just been sold for around €1.5 million. Former Boyzone frontman Keating
sold Fulton, at number 28 Abington in the Co. Dublin suburb, back to developer Parkway Properties for an unknown price two years ago.
However, he and his wife Yvonne continued to live in the house until a year ago when they completed the building of another huge house on the estate. The home featured prominently in coverage of the Keating’s dramatic separation from his wife in 2010 after revelations he had an affair with a dancer.
His former house was put on the market in June last year with an asking priced of €1.9 million. Auctioneers Lisney
refused to confirm the sale price but it is believed to be in the region of €1.5 million.
Westlife’s Nicky Byrne and his wife Georgina Ahern and RTE presenter Marty Whelan also live on the estate of mock-Georgian and Victorian mansions. Former Anglo Irish Bank boss, David Drumm, who now lives in the USA also bought a house at 20 Abington in 2003. Keating was among the first residents to move into the Abington estate in 2001.
