Niall Horan: Two years since I queued at Xfactor

Dreams do come true

Irish pop heart-throb Niall Horan is living his pop dream — exactly two years after queuing up at Croke Park for the X Factor auditions.

Mullingar singer Niall (18) recalled how his journey to pop success with One Direction began at the auditions in Dublin in 2010.

“Yesterday 2 yrs ago, 15th April, I stood and queued at 5am at Croke Park for X Factor audition! Incredible how time flies, dreams do come true,” he said on Twitter yesterday.

Niall and his bandmates Liam Payne (18), Zayn Malik (19), Harry Styles (19) and Louis Tomlinson (20) originally auditioned as solo singers but later joined forces to finish third in The X Factor.

One Direction, currently taking Australia by storm, have already made history by becoming the first UK group to hit No 1 in the US with their debut album, Up All Night — even beating the Beatles.

But it’s no big surprise for Niall — who recalls having a dream when he was about six that he’d be No 1 in America.
