Westlife's Nicky Byrne
has been pipped for another TV post, after his bandmate Kian Egan
landed a big telly slot.
Kian will be a part of ITV’s This Morning
, hosting the Hub section, in which viewers voice their opinions on topics on the show.
He will front the interactive segment alongside presenters Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford.
Nicky, who has made it clear that he wants to present big TV shows like the X Factor and American Idol, has already been pipped to the post by Kian, who appeared on boot camp episodes of Xtra Factor last week, filling in for Olly Murs by co-hosting with Caroline Flack.
Kian (34) was also a judge on RTE’s talent show, The Voice. Nicky, who has spoken about his TV dreams, is holidaying in Portugal with his family.
“Big TV shows, that is definitely where I would love to be,” he said recently. “Mainstream TV presenting with big shows and shiny floors is where I want to be.”
