They have been working very hard to get their bodies toned
The Miss Ireland organisation have assured fans that the Beach Beauty round of Miss World will take place - after fears yesterday that it was cancelled.
The contest sees the Miss World competitors line out in their bikinis and the organisers decided to move it to Friday instead of holding it today.
This caused shock online with fans of the event and competitors posting their concerns, as they thought the hugely popular bikini section had been cancelled.
The bikini section is world renowned and as is by far the most popular segement of the competition.
Fans and competitors alike were relieved last night after the confusion was straightened out.
Miss Ireland Rebecca Maguire (20) is looking forward to taking part in the Beach Beauty contest and hopes to follow in Rosanna Davison's footsteps.
Rosanna won the round in 2003 and it set her on track to win Miss World.
Miss Ireland organiser Sean Montague said: "She was informed that it wasn't happening on the first and that it has been moved.
"I'm sure a lot of the girls would be very disappointed if it didn't go ahead because they have been working very hard to get their bodies toned.
"I would be surprised if they removed something that generates a lot of points in the contest. It would have to be replaced by something else."
