Telly king Simon Cowell is planning his own tell-all interview so he can finally set the record straight about his private life.
The music mogul has faced a backlash after a series of sleazy revelations emerged — including an affair with his former X Factor co-star Dannii Minogue (40).
But Cowell (52) has refused to say a word until he’s read for himself the controversial unauthorised biography about his life.
The X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent boss plans to read Sweet Revenge: The Intimate Life Of Simon Cowell by ex-BBC journalist Tom Bower in its entirety this weekend.
Sources close to Cowell say he hates being out of control and wants to get back in the driver’s seat immediately.
“Enough is enough,” said one insider. “Simon’s taken a lot of flak this week and now it’s time to take the bull by the horns.”
One option is for Cowell to do an interview with telly pal Piers Morgan, but sources say nothing is set in stone.
He fears he will be caught up in this nightmare for the next few weeks and worries that fellow BGT judge David Walliams plans to humiliate him during the live shows.
Comic David (40) has made a number of cheeky jibes about Cowell’s sex secrets on Twitter.
This week he joked: “I really want to read this new Simon Cowell book to find out if there is anyone he hasn’t slept with.”
Cowell stepped out in public on Wednesday night for the first time since the allegations, looking stressed and unshaven — but with a mystery woman in tow.
He was joined by his former girlfriend Jackie St Clair (48) and her husband as they went to see Cowell’s opera band Il Divo in concert.
And his mystery brunette was keen to hide her identity from waiting photographers — shielding her face with her handbag as she climbed into Cowell’s Rolls Royce.
