The stars of reality show Tallafornia
are heading to Spain’s Santa Ponsa to film the second series.
The first TV3 series was filmed in south Dublin’s Tallaght last year but the team behind the show decided to move abroad for a change of scenery.
Model Kelly Donegan
said: “I can reveal that Tallafornia season two will be filmed in Santa Ponsa! It’s going to be huge.”
Her co-stars Cormac Branagan
and Nikita Murray
were also thrilled to confirm the news about the TV3 show yesterday. TV3 could not confirm which of the cast would return for the show as they are taking part in contract negotiations.
The cast will be travelling to Santa Ponsa at the end of July for five weeks of filming in the sunshine. A team from TV3 travelled out to the island last week to meet officials from the town who are looking forward to welcoming the Tallafornia crew. A spokeswoman for the station said: “We went down there last week to see the house and where they will go out. We met people in Santa Ponsa and the mayor’s office. We signed off on it last week.
“There is a huge Irish contingent down there. It is such an Irish location with bars such as Sean’s, Hill 16 and The Dubliner. It is hugely Irish focused.” Santa Ponsa
in Mallorca is hugely popular with Irish tourists and is a top destination for post-Leaving Cert holidays.
It is on the south-west coast of the island and the beach is the main attraction for visitors - alongside the pubs and the clubs. The Tallafornia team will enjoy a villa with a pool in the sunshine resort.
