This new Pixar flick is about a princess called Merida who defies a custom and brings chaos to her kingdom. Kelly McDonald voices Merida and is joined by Emma Thompson, Robbie Coltrane, Billy Connolly and Julie Walters.

The new Muppets movie has already been released in the States and has gone down a storm. The premise is three Muppet fans help The Muppets raise $10m to save their theatre from a businessman who plans to demolish it and drill for oil. Jack Black, Zach Galifianakis, Mickey Rooney, Selena Gomez, Whoopi Goldberg, Emily Blunt and more all cameo.

It sounds like a remake of Arnie’s 1990 film of the same name, but this is said to be more faithful to the original Philip K Dick novel, We Can Remember it For You Wholesale.Colin Farrell plays a factory worker in the far future who is plagued by violent nightmares who begins to suspect he’s a spy whose memory was erased.

Craggy-faced Daniel Craig has suggested he wasn’t altogether thrilled with The Quantum of Solace given it was made during the writers’ strike and the script had to be cobbled together by Craig himself and director Marc Forster.

No such bad luck for Skyfall, Bond’s 23rd outing, and Craig’s third as 007.Joining Craig and Judi Dench are names including Ralph Fiennes, Javier Bardem, Helen McCrory, Albert , Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw and sexy new French Bond girl Berenice Marlohe.

The creative marriage between Tim Burton and Johnny Depp continues to flourish with this Gothic horror based on the cult TV series from the ’60s and ’70s. Depp stars as Barnabas Collins who breaks the heart of his witch lover Angelique (Eva Green) who turns him into a vampire and buries him alive.

Two hundred years later he’s dug up and finds his dysfunctional descendants have condemned his manor and businesses to ruin. Sounds suitably dark and bonkers which is sure to please Burton fans.

The fourth Bourne is the first without Matt Damon, but Jeremy Renner is up to the task of filling those globe-trotting boots. Virtually nothing is known about the plot apart from the fact it focuses on a new CIA operative, played by Renner. Also starring are Edward Norton, Rachel Weisz, Joan Allen and Albert Finney.
