A slimmed-down Sinead reckons the Late Late host should head for greener pastures
He should go to England for his own sake because we are a totally begrudging nasty little country
Fiery singer Sinead O'Connor has advised struggling RTE star Ryan Tubridy to move to England to escape this "nasty little country."
The 44-year-old mum-of-four - who has lost an impressive four stone in weight recently - said TV and radio host Tubridy should quit Ireland "for his own sake."
Tubridy has suffered a 87,000 drop in listeners to his 2fm show in the past year and is coming under increasing pressure from RTE top brass to improve the popularity of his flagging show.
But while things have been hard for Tubs in Ireland, the beanpole Late Late Show presenter has gone down a storm in England where he has been working for the BBC. The 38-year-old is set to return to the BBC this Christmas - sparking speculation he is contemplating a permanent move away from RTE.
Sinead thinks Tubridy should pack his bags and escape “nasty” Ireland. "He should go to England for his own sake because we are a totally begrudging nasty little country,” the Nothing Compares 2 U songbird said. “I hope he goes there... and just gets out of Ireland because it’s full of bitches and jealousy.”
