It's early days but John has really put a smile back on Yvonne's face
YVONNE Keating is said to be much happier since her split with Ronan now that she has met her new man John Conroy - a cameraman and separated dad of six who she met on a film set.
Yvonne (37) - ex of Ronan Keating (35) - was chaperoning her daughter Missy (11) on the set of a film called Dark Touch in Sweden when she met 43 year old John.
They have been dating since February and John is said to be the ìperfect tonicî for Yvonne since splitting from Ronan in 2011 following his alleged affair with dancer Francine Cornell.
"It's early days but John has really put a smile back on Yvonne's face," said a source.
"You can see a a mile off how much happier she seems and it's all thanks to moving on to a new relationship."
John Conroy is a father of six who previously shared a home with former wife Suzanne (43) in Rosenallis in his native Co Laois before they split up in January.
He was working in the movie industry for 20 years and has worked on projects ranging in budgets from €100,000 to €150 million blockbusters.
They include King Arthur, Sweeney Todd, Charlie And The Chocolate Factory, The Boxer and In The Name of Our Father.
He worked on the set of BBC's latest series Silent Witness earlier this year and also won a number of awards fort his work including for a movie called Speed Dating - for which he won the Audience Award at the Indianapolis Film Festival.
He is a keen rugby fan who supports the London Irish and sources say he is "passionate" about his work.
His former wife and children live in their family home in Laois and he is currently working in London on a new TV drama Mr Selfridge.
When asked about his time working on the set of Dark Touch - a horror story - where he met Yvonne, he said: "It's been great, the crew were great, great sets, great facilities."
Ronan has said that he is "really happy" for Yvonne finding a new man.
"I'm really happy for her and that she's in a great place, and she deserves to be," he said.
