Compliance Trailer
You want criminal accessories with that?
An unsettling study in automatic public compliance with anyone and anything remotely official sounding, director Craig Zobel (co-founder of the deeply brilliant HomeStarRunner.com) has crafted a drama which focuses on a prank caller, posing as a police officer, who cajoles a fast food franchise manager into strip searching one of her employees.

So good clean family fun!

It’s based, perhaps not too loosely, on the Strip Search Prank Call Scam phenomenon that swept the States up until an arrest was made in 2004.

Compliance had its world premiere at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival and was met with contentious responses including several walkouts and much shouting at the subsequent Q&A.

That’s how you know it’s good! That and the largely positive critical reception to date.
