Donald Faison joins Kick-Ass 2
More ass will be kicked.
Donald Faison has entered negotiations to join the cast of Kick-Ass 2 as Dr. Gravity. The star of Scrubs and The Exes is set to join the likes of Aaron Johnson, Chloe Grace Moretz, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and Nicolas Cage. John Leguizamo has recently joined the cast and is another new addition.

In the comic Dr. Gravity is a member of Justice Forever, an allegiance of local heroes, and fights alongside Kick-Ass. At one point in the comic he explains to Kick-Ass that he is a physics professor at Columbia by day and a crimefighter at night, though many know him as a copy writer. He has built a gravity pole in his spare time, although to many it looks like a baseball bat covered in tinfoil, which allows him to float off the ground. At this point it is worth remembering how Kick-Ass saw himself in the first film, and how his first encounter with bad guys went…

Jeff Wadlow is on board to direct the film, which is said to be based on the Kick-Ass 2 comic with elements from the Hit Girl comic. Matthew Vaughn, who directed the 2010 original, will be the producer on the follow up. Shooting is scheduled to start in September, but no release date has been mentioned yet.
