Michael Clarke Duncan to voice the corps drill sergeant
It has been confirmed that the hulking human Michael Clarke Duncan will, quite fittingly, voice the hulking alien Kilowog in Martin Campbell’s very exciting, very ambitious, very green, summer Sci Fi epic.

Michael Clarke Duncan is no stranger to the Superhero movie phenomenon, putting in a performance as the Kingpin in 2003’s Daredevil. Similarily, the character of Kilowog, created originally back in 1986 by Steve Englehart and Joe Staton, has been voiced in film but once, by Michael Madsen in the animated feature, Green Lantern: First Flight (2009)

Kilowog’s role in this densely populated DC adaptation is as yet, unclear. However it’s not a stretch to envisage a scene wherein the behemoth veteran schools the wise cracking Hal Jordan (played with acute comic timing by click favourite Ryan Reynolds) in the use of his fancy space jewellery.

Duncan joins an impressive cast for the June 17th release, including Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Peter Sarsgaard, Mark Strong, Angela Bassett, Tim Robbins, Temuera Morrison and Geoffrey Rush.
