Josh Brolin cast for OldBoy remake
Hope he’s good with a hammer…
According to Deadline, Mr Brolin has been cast in the primary role for the upcoming remake of Park Chan-wook's OldBoy.

Brolin, next scheduled to appear alongside Will Smith in Men in Black III, will play the part of Joe, a detail which already deviates from the original. OldBoy’s protagonist went by the catchy moniker of Oh Dae-Su.

On the day of his daughter’s birth, Joe is abducted and imprisoned within a hotel room for two decades, with no clue as to why. When abruptly, inexplicably released, Joe is tasked with unravelling the mystery of his imprisonment and has four days to reach his conclusions. Should he fail in his investigation, daughter will be killed.

Spike Lee is set to direct the script by Mark Protosevich. Production is rumoured to begin early 2012.
