Now this looks more than a little interesting!
First off, it’s in space. I know I covered this already, but it bears repeating. Space is cool. Stuff flies in it and shoots other stuff. And though in an infinite airless vacuum fiery explosions are not especially sustainable, they sure are fun to look at chewing on a mouthful of popcorn.
Secondly it’s got the criminally underutilised Guy Pearce
being funny. Nothing wrong with that. And that guy sounded a little Asian in fairness...
Thirdly, though unproven directors Stephen St. Leger
and James Mather
are at the helm, they have veteran writer Luc Besson
on board to provide his usual brand of dramatic flair and explosive violence.
And lastly, though arguably the most important part of the puzzle, it’s in Space.
Space is cool!
is scheduled for a 2012 release and also stars Maggie Grace
(Taken) and Vincent Regan.
