Monopoly celebrates The Godfather anniversary
Wheel and deal familiar landmarks.
Get ready to gather friends and family around to make them an offer that they can’t refuse. To celebrate the 40th anniversary of The Godfather, USAopoly is releasing a Monopoly game under license from Hasbro and Paramount Licensing. The traditional mechanics of Monopoly remain, but Godfather fans may enjoy the references and themes employed by the classic boardgame.

The game will feature familiar landmarks, and buyable properties, such as Woltz International Pictures, Moe Green’s Casino, Joe’s Diner and Hyman Roth’s Home. The game tokens are also references to the movie with players able to choose between a cannoli, Genco Olive Oil tin, the Don’s limo, a dead fish, a tommy gun and even the horse’s head. In addition the Chance and Community Chest cards have been replaced by Friends and Enemies cards as a reminder to “keep your friends close, but your enemies closer.”

USAopoly has released a box opening to show off the contents of the game. Monopoly The Godfather Collector’s edition is currently available from selected specialist stores across North America. It is also available from amazon.com for $39.95.
