Craig escorts the Queen and gets some new footage
Daniel Craig’s appearance as James Bond at the Opening Ceremony for the London 2012 Olympics has been accompanied by a new TV spot for the 23rd Bond.

Craig teamed up with Queen Elizabeth II and escorted her by helicopter to the Summer Games, before skydiving out of the vehicle for a grand entrance. The scenes for this moment were filmed last March at Buckingham Palace, initially prompting rumours that QE2 would feature in the latest Bond adventure.

After the opening ceremony, a brand new TV Spot hit the web, check it out.

It’s heavy on action and low on plot, giving us an idea of the kinds of scrapes Bond is planning on getting into. We’re particularly interested in that train being opened like a can of sardines…

Skyfall marks the 50th anniversary of Bond on film and the third outing for Daniel Craig with a story that focuses on investigating series stalwart M played by Judi Dench – the only performer to survive the transition from the Brosnan era. With MI6 in jeopardy, Bond must work to stop a vital secret from leaking, while his allegiances are brought into question.

Skyfall is directed by Sam Mendes and also stars Javier Bardem, Ralph Fiennes, Albert Finney and Naomie Harris. It’s in cinemas from the 26th of October.
