After realising that many users were missing out on the Facebook App Center when it was released in a handful of countries, Facebook flipped the switch to make it available to users worldwide. The social app shop is designed to convince developers to create Facebook-connected apps, while giving users a better method of finding them. It operates in a similar fashion to Google Play or Apple’s App Store.
The App Center keeps track of apps released for use via the web and on mobile, and also keeps users informed of Requests from friends. So, if you have friends who insist on recruiting you for their farm, village, agency or other staffed building, all notifications will be posted here. Users will also get personalised app suggestions along with recommendations of apps based on what friends are using. Users can also keep track of the top rated apps, apps that are growing rapidly or the apps with the most in-app purchases. Though we may steer clear of that last category for the sake of our real-world wallets.
The App Center is available to all on Facebook now and can be found on the bar on the left-hand side of the Facebook news feed.
