Microsoft to host Surface event on September 23rd
What's next for the tablet?

Microsoft is gearing up to release the next-generation of Surface tablets and has scheduled an event for September 23rd. As with all things these days there have been numerous leaks, so it will come as little surprise when Microsoft unveils the Surface 2 and Surface Pro 2.

The main design of both will remain similar to those of the Surface RT and Surface Pro models. It has been suggested that Microsoft will upgrade its Surface Pro 2 to Intel's new Haswell processor and 8GB RAM. The Surface 2 will utilise Windows RT 8.1 and is expected to feature a 1080p display and Nvidia's Tegra 4 processor.

Stay tuned on September 23rd for more news and announcements regarding the future of Microsoft’s Surface tablets.
