Samsung has finally announced that their new 'projector in a smartphone' the Samsung Galaxy Beam
will be available to order as of yesterday.
The Samsung Galaxy Beam
allows people to transform any room into a mini home-theatre (ok, a major exaggeration - you would need a serious set of speakers, popcorn and irritating people kicking the back of your chair for that) by projecting full screen video clips, maps, presentations and photos on to the wall or ceiling.

Specs for Samsung Galaxy Beam
aren't the most aweinspiring but we must make allowances for the fact that there's a mini portable cinema inside the phone! Measuring just 12.5mm thick and featuring a sleek design, the device houses a 5MP camera, runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread and is powered by a 1.0GHz dual-core processor. Impressively it boasts a 2000 mAh battery and 8GB internal memory so you won't have to worry too much about running out of power or photos half way through your presentaion.

While we are very much so looking forward to getting our hands on the new Samsung Galaxy Beam
, we couldn't help but notice how take-the-piss worthy their trailer for the phone is.... anyone agree?
