Samsung Galaxy S II hits 20 million mark
Mobile device shows no signs of stopping.
The Samsung Galaxy S II has hit the milestone of 20 million units sold since its release in April 2011. It hit the previous landmark of 10 million sales in September 2011, just five months after its launch. The rate of sales puts it ahead of its predecessor, which currently hovers around the 22 million mark. The Mobile World Congress 2012 showcase is approaching, but Samsung has been quiet with regards to potential announcements. While there haven’t been any rumblings regarding a third iteration of the model, it is just a matter of time.
